A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Let me introduce myself -- I'm Edward Mattox, the founder and president of Inland Electric. When I began Inland back in 1981, I had no idea that it would grow to over 500 field contractors and have a support staff of 40 quality professionals. Today, we've become one of Northern Illinois/Chicagoland's leading union electrical contractors and we're preparing to expand into other areas of the country.
Our mission is to establish and build a long-term partnering relationship with our customers, suppliers and employees. This has allowed us to be highly competitive, and we utilize the best and most advanced technology as a tool for achieving that goal. Through the use of technology, we precisely estimate, track job costs and allocate overhead, giving the customer a more accurate bid. This system also yields fewer change orders where the rare cost overruns are quickly identified and resolved.
We've also built strong purchasing relationships with our distributors and other vendors. These valued partnerships, along with the purchasing power we've gained through sheer size and volume, have translated to even more advantages that are passed directly to the customer.
We recognize our employees as our most valuable asset, we've created an environment that focuses on training, job advancement and job satisfaction. This formula has yielded low turnover and high employee retention and a level of corporate stability that contributes to customers knowing that they can depend on Inland Electric.
I'm very proud of the accomplishments of
Inland Electric. In addition to being the contractor
of choice for five of the six largest residential developers
in Northern Illinois/Chicago, we've completed such
downtown high rise projects as 2 East Erie and the Sofitel
Hotel, along with senior living facilities in Shorewood,
Bloomingdale and Naperville. We've also participated in hotel
and motel projects for Comfort Inn, Country Inn and other
hotel chains, as well as worked on corporate headquarters,
retail and commercial offices and medical facilities. In
short, we've grown to become a company that can handle several
sizes of projects.
Our future plans will allow us to make further inroads in the commercial market throughout the country and to supply high- and low-voltage installations to corporations, businesses, retail and institutional customers.
Thank you for your interest in Inland Electric, we hope to add your company's name to our all-important "partner list" soon.
